If you are asking if you can stick it in a freezer and magically make it work, thats an awful myth.

How to retrieve stuff off a broken Hard Drive:
1. Jam it open with a crowbar.
2. Insert cottage cheese.
3. Heat in microwave for 5 minutes.
4. Add white bread and fry in oven for 20 minutes.
5. Server with duff beer and salad.

Just take it to some computer professional guy, they might get your stuff, but it's totally up to how badly it is broken.

Ive frozen multiple harddrives after they have gone through the click of death and become unreadable. You'll have a limited amount of time to back stuff up before it dies on you again so be quick about it right after taking it out of the freezer. Freeze it for a good 4 hours or so and have a backup drive ready.
Although this doesnt work 100% of the time, you can always give it to a professional after trying it out!
